Share your last name with the U.S. president? You may be wanted for a commercial and the gig pays pretty good money, too
The casting call is for individuals with a legal last name of “Trump” residing in Ontario or Quebec for a one-day shoot expected to happen around Toronto.
A casting agency is looking for everyday Canadians for a new commercial, but there’s one not-so-welcome-to-many-Canadians requirement. Individuals must share their last name with the president of the United States.
Jigsaw Casting is looking for individuals who live in Ontario or Quebec with a legal last name of “Trump” for a grocery campaign in Toronto.
“We will be checking your ID to verify that your legal last name is indeed ‘Trump,’” the said.

Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, reside in Ontario or Quebec and be at least 18 years old. The gig is open to individuals of any ethnicity or gender.
This is a union (ACTRA) campaign but non-union members are welcome to apply. No acting experience is necessary.

The casting agency is looking for applicants as soon as possible, with a submission deadline of March 21 at 10 a.m.
The one-day shoot is expected to happen the week of April 7.
Remuneration
If selected, compensation is approximately $3,500 per person.
If selected individuals live far from Toronto, travel and accommodation will be provided, the notice said.
