NCAA March Madness, one of the biggest, annual sporting events of the year, kicks off on Tuesday, March 18, involving 68 of the top teams from across the country in a single-elimination tournament.Ìý
After a thrilling Selection Sunday that determined final seedings for this year’s bracket, the participating teams and brackets have now been revealed. Here are top teams representing each region, and the betting favourites to win it all.Ìý

Who are this year’s top teams?
Duke, who have long been a juggernaut program in this tournament, is the No. 1 seed out of the East representing the ACC Conference, and the number two team overall. The Duke Blue Devils are currently the second highest betting favourites to win the tournament at +360.
Florida has taken the top seed out of the West, representing the SEC Conference, and sitting at number four overall at this year’s tournament. The Florida Gators currently hold the highest odds to win the tournament at +350.
Auburn, who are the number one seed in the South and representing the SEC Conference, are the No. 1 ranked team overall in the NCAA, but hold the third highest odds of winning the tournament at +400.
Rounding out this year’s number one seeds are Houston out of the Midwest, representing the Big 12 Conference and are the number three overall team in this year’s tournament. The Houston Cougars currently hold the fourth highest odds to win the tournament, sitting at +600.Ìý
Canadian players at this year’s tournamentÌý
A record number of Canadian players were involved in the 2024/25 NCAA Basketball season, with a total of 170 across 127 participating teams.Ìý
A total of 20 Canadians, 10 of which are Ont.-born, have made the cut for the tournament itself, led by Emanuel Sharp from the No. 1 seeded Houston Cougars. Here are the players participating in this year’s tournament:Ìý
